Minutes for March 2000
1. The regular monthly meeting was called to order at 1900 on 16 March at Club Rumors.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE
a. Treasury balance: $1,169.86
b. The compressor repair/replacement
fund balance: $3,750.65
c. The insurance fund: $900 [insurance
is paid in July]
3. OLD BUSINESS
a. The Club is always looking for equipment maintenance and/or repair people. Talk to any of the Club Officers if you are interested. We have a couple of potential takers, but are always looking for someone able to make a long term commitment.
b. The by-laws revisions were accepted and will be posted on the Web page.
c. The conex boxes and storage lockers for Cable sailors were not acceptable. A committee chaired by Don Donahue will investigate other options.
d. Al Hale will check out Site 3 for a possible Club dive.
4. NEW BUSINESS
a. Don Donahue will check out the instructions for equipment maintenance
and the visual
inspection program.
b. The Club will not issue gear during the base Safety Stand Down, Wednesday through 1800 Friday (15-17 MAR).
c. Ken Parrish will audit the treasury account.
d. A notice will be posted clarifying the rules for returning gear. A member may check out gear twice and then must return it for at least 48 hours to ensure that all members have access to gear.
5. The next board meeting is at 1800, the next general meeting
is at 1900, 20 April, at the Club Rumors.
